Doll Show 49 in Asakusa (with video)

Today was the Dolll Show 49. Once again they changed the location and put it in Asakusa instead of Ikebukuro. This is sort of nice for me since it's only about 30 minutes away from where I now live.

The doll show was pretty big since instead of the usual two floors, it was help on fourth floor, the last floor being for putting your own doll like a doll meeting and have some food. It was the first time they actually had ood present normally you would have to go out to eat something.

Strangely, there weren't many big company represented. Actually Groove and Cu-poche generally show up but they weren't around this time.

Azone had their usual announcement, they presented the new character azone 50cm, the new Alisa and Lycee Meow Meow a la mode which all have a sort of purplish color involved. Then they finally introduced Aoto and Yuta Otogi no Kuni which I have been waiting for for so long. They also have a new Snow White and a new Alice tea party doll in this series. I'm thinking that I might need to get them both so I'm not very sure. Then there is the new Adventure Steampunk collection doll, which are coming out in April and May. This is pretty exciting. I'll probably have some comparison pictures as they apparently made changes on their faces since the last announcement.

I went a bit over board with taking pictures with 428 in total so this video is pretty long. I'm giving my impression at the end if you want to skip parts.

Vlog #64 Wedding dresses fitting day (with video)

Today, we went to the wedding dress fit. We got married in January but we didn't have a wedding party. We still aren't going to get a party right now but we are going to take wedding pictures next month.
The company taking the pictures is also renting the dress and suit for the day so today we had to go and pick out outfit.

The photo session will be on April 12th.
It was a bit hard to find a dress that actually fit me but it ended up that my first choice was the right one.

WeWriWar 199: Rainbow catcher

Welcome to a new excerpt of Rainbow Catcher for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

Now let's go back to our story.

Summary of previous episodes: Clarissa is coughing and wanted to watch Everett Cooper on TV but Jason refused, she is due to get her rainbow the next day but she seems scared, to make her feel better Jason leave the TV on. Clarissa tried to explain about rainbows, she is a big fan of Everett Cooper but Jason is not too sure about it. Clarissa complained about her dialophone but Jason needs to go to work. Before completely leaving he is thinking about getting her her rainbow. We flashed back to the meeting Jason had with a rainbow seller at the black market. Jason left Clarissa's room to go to work. Jason was talking to his boss about the rainbow coming the next day. Jason prepared the money for the rainbow in a sport bag and went to the hospital. The rainbow seller arrived for the delivery. But it was a scam and Jason prepares to go get the rainbow himself in the desert. Markus has a last surprise for him.

We start just where we left off last week.

“Push back your feet a little bit,” Markus said turning his face to look down at Jason’s feet. Jason pushed his feet as far as he could on the motorbike's ground.
“Are you ready?” Markus asked.
Jason didn’t know what he was supposed to be ready for, but he nodded. Markus pressed a button with his right thumb and Jason felt crushed back by the acceleration. He was clinging at the handle in his back not to fall off. He couldn’t look at the landscape anymore; the bike was eating the road, it was too fast for his eyes. He wondered how the bike which had seemed so old and fragile the night before could ever withstand such a speed before realizing that it did not look like the same bike anymore.

Vlog #63: We moved to central Tokyo (with video)

So today we are moving to the center of Tokyo from Fuchu. It's about 1hours and 20 minute drive.

We rented a van to do the move ourselves. This is how we have always done it so we are sort of used to it. (That's about my 20th address.)

The thing is that we need to go back and forth three times but we ran into a bit of a problem when one of Ikki's boss called at midnight the day before to tell him they had a business meeting at the beginning of the afternoon which left me alone to take care of emptying more than half of the van from the first trip. Ikki was also supposed to be back from the meeting around 15:30 but didn't come back until past 17:00. The all thing really stressed out the hell of both of us. 

We got a little help and managed to finish moving everything around midnight.
